More Than 2 Dozen Neglected Horses Seized by Galveston Police

Galveston police have seized more than two dozen horses and arrested the owner in a neglect investigation.

Galveston County jail records show 45-year-old Terri Lynn Glenn was being held Thursday on a charge of cruelty to livestock animals.

Online records do not list an attorney for Glenn, who was arrested Wednesday and her bond set at $7,500.

The Galveston County Daily News reports Glenn owns S-n-G Horseback Riding. Police say 27 horses were seized after being found in poor condition and held in a pen.

An animal rescue group took custody of the horses, including some animals missing hair and showing ribs. Sgt. Joel Caldwell says no horses were in pristine or excellent health.

A message left with S-n-G Horseback Riding wasn't immediately returned Thursday.
