Maria Nieto was killed in a vehicle crash Oct. 25. Her body was transported to the Calvario Funeral home at 300 W. Davis Street in Dallas and received by Juan Vasquez.

Nieto's sister began receiving emails Oct. 29 stating that Nieto's credit card account showed charges. Nieto's relatives checked her personal property — released to them by Vasquez — and noticed her credit card was missing.

Dallas Police Department Financial Crimes detectives contacted several businesses where Nieto's credit card was used and obtained pictures of Vasquez using the card.

Police said they arrested Vasquez and charged him with felony credit card abuse.
