Man threatened to jump off overpass after wife's fatal beating

A McKinney man accused of killing his wife with a baseball bat is sentenced to life in prison.

Brent Stephens beat his wife, Denise, to death at the Dallas office where she worked in May 2008.

Police arrested Stephens hours after the slaying as he threatened to jump off the Bush Turnpike overpass.

The trial began Tuesday morning.
