All lanes of Interstate 30 in Rowlett will be shutdown at midnight Saturday night into Sunday Morning.
The Rowlett Police Department says Oncor needs the freeway to be shutdown so it can rebuild power lines that run across the highway.
A crash along I-30 near Dalrock Road Saturday afternoon sent the power lines falling down onto the highway below causing several drivers to crash.
Crews were able to get the power lines off of the road, but now need time to rebuild those lines across the highway.
The full highway closure is expected to last about 30 minutes and will start at 12:00 a.m. Sunday morning. Police advise if you typically drive that road at that time, to find a different route.
