A 2-year-old girl struck by a suspected drunken driver while crossing a street in Sansom Park has died, police say.
The girl was struck Sunday while crossing the 5600 block of Calloway Street in Sansom Park, in northwest Tarrant County.
She was taken to Cook Children's Medical Center in Fort Worth where she died Tuesday morning, said Will Wilkerson, Sansom Park Police Chief.
The driver was suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash and was held on a $50,000 bond, Wilkerson said.[[421998873,R]]
Wilkerson would not confirm whether the girl was crossing the street alone or with her family.
No further information was released.
