Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott was reportedly involved in an altercation at a club in Dallas over the weekend, according to a source.
The source confirmed to NBC 5's Newy Scruggs that Elliott was involved in a physical altercation at Clutch Bar in the 2500 block of Cedar Springs Road Sunday night. The incident was first reported by Mike Fisher on 105.3 The FAN.
While they did not mention Elliott, Dallas police said they were dispatched to the same block as the club at 9:40 p.m. Sunday where Daryl Ibeneme claimed he'd been assaulted. Ibeneme, who DJs at various clubs in Dallas, told officers he didn't know who assaulted him.
Police said Ibeneme was transported to a hospital with injuries that were not life threatening.
Initial reports indicated the victim was a bouncer at the club, but the club's owner told NBC 5 the victim was not an employee. The club's owner, who said the altercation was not recorded on surveillance video, also refused to say if Elliott had been in the bar that night.
