Coppell Middle School West released students early due to toilets not being able to flush at the school. Repairs have been made and toilets are functioning.
Multiple crews were on site working to repair the problem which were due to a mechanical issue. While students and staff had access to the toilets all day, the toilets could not be flushed. All other clean water sources in the kitchens, restrooms, water fountains and lab had been available. Students were able to have lunch in the cafeteria as usual.
The school is dismissed early and allowed parents to pick up students starting at 1 p.m. Buses began running at 1 p.m. Students not able to be picked early were kept in classrooms until normal dismissal time at 3:35 p.m.
Repairs were completed by Thursday afternoon at 4 p.m. The school will resume its regular schedule Friday morning.
