Authorities say one Houston-area child has been killed and three others hurt when their all-terrain vehicle crashed.
The Chambers County Sheriff's Office said six children, ages 5- to 16-years-old, were on the ATV when it rolled Thursday afternoon.
Investigators are trying to determine what caused the crash near Mont Belvieu that left a 5-year-old boy dead at the scene.
Three other children were transported to hospitals for treatment of unspecified injuries. Officials said the other two children on the ATV were not hurt.
The name of the boy who died wasn't immediately released.
Mont Belvieu is 25 miles northeast of Houston.
