An hours-long standoff ended with the arrest of an armed man who barricaded himself inside a Carrollton home Friday morning, police say. [[390679802,C]]
Carrollton police said they responded to a call about a fight at the home in the 2900 block of Country Place Drive at about 5:30 a.m. and heard shots fired.
Authorities said they evacuated five nearby homes and advised others to stay in their homes.
Police said the standoff ended with the man safely in custody at 9:45 a.m.
Authorities told NBC 5 they responded to an assault family violence call at the same house several years ago.
