An Irving woman has been arrested in connection with the fatal stabbing of a man in a Denton County park.
At about 5 p.m. Thursday, The Colony police were called to Hidden Cove Park when two people spotted a woman stabbing a man with a pair of scissors. The pair yelled at the woman, who then stood up and walked away, police said.
Dana Jill Thompson, 57, was restrained by witnesses until police arrived. She was hospitalized for treatment of minor cuts and then transported to jail.
Thompson is now being held on $250,000 bond in connection with that man's death. The victim's name has not yet been released.
