Suspect in Arlington ATM Kidnapping Arrested

The man suspected of robbing and kidnapping a woman by forcing her into the trunk of her own car at an ATM in Arlington has been arrested in Georgia, police say.

Donald Moses, 18, faces felony charges in connection to the case after he allegedly approached Christin Galla in her car at a Wells Fargo bank in the 2000 block of North Collins Street, Arlington police said.

Galla later told NBC 5 she at first thought the man was asking for money, but then he pulled out a gun and told her to climb into the trunk.

"He told me, 'Give me the money, give me the money, give me the money, get out of the car, pop the trunk, pop the trunk,'" she explained. "Then he told me to get in the trunk, and just closed it. And I guess he got in the car and drove away."

Police said the suspect drove from Arlington to the Mid Cities, where Galla was finally able to escape and call for help from a gas station. She said Thursday that she knew the arrest would only be a matter of time.

“I figured the police were doing their job anyways,” she said.

Galla told NBC 5 she will no longer go to the ATM early in the morning the way she had the day of the kidnapping. She said it feels like a bad dream that’s now over.

“Bad things happen, but I think you should move past it to the point you can live your life the way you want to,” said Galla.

Investigators said several people contacted them saying the suspect seen in a surveillance image released to the media resembled Moses. Police took the photo to Moses' mother, who is incarcerated at the Dallas County Jail, and she confirmed the man in the photo was her son.

Moses was arrested in Peach County, Ga., with the assistance of U.S. Marshals.
