Shoes, Breast Pumps Among Items in AT&T Stadium Lost and Found

From the moment you set foot in the parking lot, you quickly learn there’s nothing small or boring about AT&T Stadium. That goes for the lost and found as well.

“You know, the big thing I say when they walk out of the building is 'what happened?'” said Vincent Tran, Guest Services Manager at AT&T Stadium.

Tran says when you have 90,000-plus people at each game or event you host, inevitably some of them are going to lose things.

While cell phones, jewelry and keys are the most common items left behind, his staff has also recovered some more unusual items.

“Sometimes we get medical devices,” said Tran. “Nursing mothers will bring breast pumps into the building and forget them.”

They’ve also found shoes, wedding rings – even musical instruments that visiting bands have left in the stands.

“Everything we find, we log,” said Tran.

For security and privacy reasons, NBC 5 was not allowed to film the area where those items are stored. However, Tran showed our cameras the detailed log they keep of everything they find.

There are currently about 400 items waiting to be claimed.

“We try to work within their timetable,” said Tran. “We try to get them their items back as quickly as possible.”

Tran said while their lost and found collection makes for some interesting stories, he’d prefer that fans leave the stadium with everything they brought.

And with a busy weekend on tap (Texas A&M and Arkansas on Saturday, Cowboys and Saints on Sunday night), he hopes folks will double check that they have their possessions before they walk out.

Items are kept in lost and found for 60 days. If they’re not claimed, they’re donated to the Salvation Army or the Cell Phones for Soldiers program.
