One Injured, a Dozen Call 911 After Shooting in Arlington

One person was injured and more than a dozen called 911 after a shooting in the parking lot of an Arlington bar and grill Monday morning.

Police said 16 people called 911 to report the shooting, though almost nobody stuck around to speak with officers when they arrived only minutes later.

The shooting took place at about 2 a.m. at the Half Time Bar and Grill on Cooper Street in Arlington.

Police detectives spent hours canvassing the parking lot, processing the scene. There were at least 19 evidence markers placed down on the asphalt.

One shooting victim checked himself into the hospital, though police said it's a mystery how he got there.

The man's condition is unknown, but investigators are interviewing him because police think he may also have a role in the shooting.

Witnesses said they heard more than a dozen gunshots. They also said they clearly heard at least two different guns involved in the shooting.

"I was out here smoking a cigarette, heard what sounded like a couple of pistol shots. And then right after the pistol shots it sounded like a rifle, much bigger booms. It was right across the street," said Jered Frailey, who works at the Waffle House across the street.

Police have not confirmed multiple weapons were used and said the investigation is ongoing.
