Houston police say a 2-month-old boy has been found stabbed to death at an apartment and his mother faces questioning in the slaying.
Police say no charges were immediately filed in the death early Tuesday as authorities seek a motive.
Investigator David Stark said police were dispatched to the home on an emergency call about someone being cut. The infant was dead at the scene.
Stark said the distraught mother was not hurt. She was transported to a hospital for examination.
Stark said two other children and another adult in the home, the mother's sister, were present but not hurt.
The name of the victim wasn't immediately released.
Houston police did not immediately provide additional information on the investigation.
