Hazmat Crews Respond to White Powder Letter at Parkland Hospital

Hospital says substance was talcum powder

Hazmat crews responded to a report of a suspicious substance at Parkland Hospital in Dallas on Wednesday afternoon.

Dallas Fire-Rescue said two nurses on the eighth floor of the hospital opened a letter with a white powder. Firefighters were called shortly before 2 p.m.

A hospital spokesman said the substance was talcum powder.

No one was evacuated from the hospital.
