Fort Worth Church Plans Sunday Service Despite Fire

One parishioner has been treated following a fire that destroyed a North Texas church.

The Fort Worth Fire Department says nobody was inside Rise and Shine Church of Christ during the blaze Saturday morning.

Officials say a senior leader of the church, who arrived at the scene, suffered shortness of breath and was transported to a hospital. Further details weren't immediately released on the individual.

Investigators are trying to determine what sparked the blaze but do not suspect criminal activity. The fire was brought under control in less than a half-hour. Damage was estimated at about $40,000.

Church members say they'll hold services on Sunday in the parking lot.
