A North Dallas family is relieved after the family dog was rescued Wednesday afternoon.
As soon as her owner opened the door to the family's apartment Wednesday afternoon, 2-year-old Chloe, a Yorkie Terrier, ran out and somehow ended up in stuck in a pool drain.
Unable to free the dog, Dallas Fire-Rescue was called to the family's complex near Spring Creek and Belt Line Road. Using cameras, equipment, and several firefighters, DFR was able to cut a hole in the PVC drainage pipe and retrieve the dog.
The entire rescue took about a half hour.
The anxious dog was then reunited with her very happy family.
