Couple Robbed at Victory Park Parking Garage

Dallas police are on the lookout after a parking garage robbery early Sunday morning in Victory Park.

According to police reports, a couple who works at nearby restaurants were by their cars in a parking garage in the 2200 block of North Houston Street when two armed men showed up.

One man was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and sunglasses; the other was wearing a dark sweatshirt and a black and white mask, police said. Both were about 5 feet 7 inches tall and between the ages of 18 and 21. One of the suspects was carrying brass knuckles and the other had a handgun.

Police said the men told the victims, "Give me everything, empty your pockets and put it on the ground."

The victims complied, and the two took off with money and phones.

"Quite surprising, because you never really expect that around this location," said David Cerezo, who was in that area Monday.

Folks who live in the apartment/condo community above the garage were sent an email notification about the incident. The email also promised security would be stepped up in the garage.

"The building people monitor the building. We have lots of cameras, so I don't have any problem being here," said Marie Brehm who lives in the building. "I've lived here five years, and, no, nothing like this has ever happened before."

No one was injured in Sunday's robbery.
