Burleson Warns of Student Approached by Unknown Man

Burleson Independent School District and the Burleson Police Department are warning parents and students following a reported incident of an unknown man approaching a third-grader.

According to a letter released by the school district, a third grade female student from Bansom Elementary was approached by an unknown man in a silver or gray, two-door hatchback car.

The student's mother reported to police that the man was a bald, white male in his late 30's or early 40's, who spoke with an accent. According to the mother, the man asked the girl initially if she had lost a puppy. When the child said no, the man reportedly asked another question about a dog before he saw the child's mother and drove off.

The mother was unable to get a license plate or make/model for the car but reported that the incident occurred near the intersection of Parkridge and Springhill.

If you have any details on the individuals, you are asked to call Burleson Police Department at 817-426-9910.
