“Bentley Approved” T-Shirts Raise Money for Dallas Animal Services

Nurse Nina Pham and her dog Bentley are lending a hand to the people who cared for her best friend while she was being treated for Ebola.

Dallas Animal Services cared for Bentley last month and now Pham and Bentley are supporting the shelter.

T-shirts which read "Bentley Approved" are now on sale for $20, and $8 from every shirt ordered will go to Dallas Animal Services.

Dallas nurse Nina Pham was reunited with her dog, Bentley, after the dog’s 21-day incubation period passed without any sign of him having the Ebola virus.

An ad posted on DAS' Facebook page includes a message from Pham:

"I'd like to publically announce my support for Dallas Animal Services and their efforts. When I got sick they stepped up to care for my best friend and companion Bentley. I would now like to return the favor in supporting them and their fundraiser to raise money for animals in need. Thank you DAS for all that you do. Bentley and I approve this message!" -Nina Pham

If you're interested in buying a T-shirt you'll need to register at the website RequiredTeamGear.com and include package code 221895.

Ebola survivor/nurse and TCU alum Nina Pham briefly talked to NBC 5’s David Watkins about watching her team win and her health. Pham is one of two nurses treated for Ebola after caring for Eric Duncan at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas.
