Nearly three dozen people, mostly children, were injured when a big-rig slammed into their school bus in Temple Tuesday morning.
A 9-year-old boy and the school's bus driver were critically injured in the crash. The boy was ejected through the escape hatch in the bus' roof while the driver was knocked unconscious, according to police.
Two other adults and 28 other children were also injured.
Police said a delivery truck ran a stop sign and hit the Little River Academy School Bus. Investigators said foggy conditions may have contributed to the crash.
The delivery driver faces traffic charges and investigators will determine whether he will be charged with more serious offenses as the investigation progresses.
