This probably isn't something you've thought about, but did you know you can actually recycle your old refrigerator or freezer and get cash back.
Oncor and Appliance Recycling Centers of America is currently holding its great refrigerator round-up, a chance for you to dispose of your old, but still working appliance.
"Anyone who takes service from Oncor lines is eligible to participate," said Carol Peters with Oncor.
The units have to be in working condition.
"If I come to pick it up, make sure it's cleaned out and all the food is out of it and make sure it's plugged in so i can make sure it's working" said Willie Smith, route driver with Appliance Recycling Centers of America.
Once the appliance is picked up, it's taken apart and sorted into what can and can't be recycled.
"Anything that is plastic or aluminum -- anything that can be recycled, I take out," said Smith.
"Virtually everything inside the refrigerator will be recycled in an environmentally friendly manner," said Carol Peters with Oncor.
Now to take advantage of the great refrigerator round-up, you must have your electric delivered by Oncor.
