If you're looking for a job, ADT plans to hire 150 people at its Irving campus by the end of November.
The home security company is officially breaking away from its parent company, Tyco International. On Monday, ADT becomes a publicly traded company on the New York Stock Exchange.
"This really gave us an opportunity to focus on what we do best, what matters most to ADT, which is focused on saving customers lives, providing customers with added safety," said Shawn Lucht, senior vice president of operations at ADT.
The ADT campus in Irving is one of the largest ADT facilities in North America.
"I think we've added 200 jobs in the last several months and we're looking at another 150 as we continue to expand," said Lucht. The company said the positions would be varied among the 12 different work groups housed at the Irving campus.
Dinesh Chand is one of the newer hires at the customer monitoring center. He said his department has almost doubled in size.
"When I got here about a year or so ago, we had little over 200 people. Today we have close to 400 folks here," said Chand.

The Greater Irving Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce has been working with ADT as it continues to expand.
"We have a new website, HireIrving.com, where Irving citizens can go on and look for jobs that are right here within Irving. And this is a good example of the types of jobs that you'll be seeing on that website," said the Chamber's President and CEO Chris Wallace.
Wallace also said thanks to companies like ADT, the city has added a total of more than 4,300 new jobs this fiscal year. Those that want to apply can do so online, here.
