Victim, Suspect Exchange Fire in Old East Dallas, Police Say

One person exchanged fire with a suspect who pulled out a gun and demanded money Wednesday night in Old East Dallas, police said. Officers responded to the 4400 block of Gaston Avenue, between Peak Street and Carroll Avenue, after 7 p.m. The victim told police that when he saw the suspect's handgun, he reached for his own and began firing at the suspect. The suspect returned fire and fled the scene. It's unknown if he was struck. There were no other injuries reported.  Continue reading...
