Crescent Real Estate has pulled the wraps off a $30 million renovation of its namesake Uptown Dallas hotel.The 195-room luxury hotel at McKinney Avenue and Pearl Street is getting its first major makeover since the property opened in the mid 1980s.The fix up includes redesign of all the guestrooms and suites, and all public areas including the lobby, far, spa and fitness center.Dallas-based design firm Waldrop-+Nichols studio came up with the new plans, which are designed to complement the hotels original French Renaissance design by architect Philip Johnson."Embarking on a design renovation for a hotel with renowned presence and pedigree requires a commitment to honor the heritage, yet still create an aesthetic for the next generation," Andrea Waldrop of Waldrop+Nichols, said in a statement.The Hotel Crescent Court was purchased last year by Crescent Real Estate, which has just completed a $65 million renovation of the rest of the landmark Crescent complex."Hotel Crescent Court has played a critical role in Dallas' dynamic culture for three decades, always striving to be the face of unparalleled service," said Crescent CEO John Goff.
