Man Urinated on Squad Car, Punched Dallas Officer in Downtown Restaurant, Police Say

A 27-year-old man was arrested after reportedly urinating on a Dallas police squad car and punching an officer in the face in a downtown restaurant. The officers were in Zenna Restaurant in the 300 block of North Akard Street about 2 p.m. when they were flagged down by a person who told them a man was urinating on the squad car. When the officers looked outside, they saw the driver's side window of the car had been shattered, police said. When they confronted the man, he punched one of the officers in the face causing a minor injury, police said.The whole incident was recorded on the restaurant's surveillance footage. William Holmes of Fort Worth was arrested and charged with assault on a public servant and criminal mischief. He is being held in the Dallas County Jail on $4,000 bail. "That was crazy. I've never seen anything like that before," Zenna manager Johnny Ly told KTVT-TV (Channel 11). "I feel bad for them. They were probably here on their break time having lunch before they have to go back out to their beat for another 12 hours and this is what they have to deal with."He said he hopes the officers feel welcome in the restaurant.
