Man Took Cash From Register at Mesquite Convenience Store, Police Say

Mesquite police are searching for a man they say robbed a Mesquite convenience store and took cash from the money. The man went into the Stop N Go in the 1500 block of South Belt Line Road about 11:45 p.m. on Sept. 24 and approached the register with a bag over his hand, police said.Thinking the man was hiding a weapon in the bag, the clerk opened the register when the man demanded he do so, police said. The man reportedly grabbed cash from the register and fled. A detailed description was not provided. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 214-373-8477 or Mesquite police at 972-285-6336.
