A Dallas man was sentenced Friday to 99 years in prison for shooting another man dead outside an Oak Cliff convenience store last March — a week after he shoot another man outside another corner store.Corey Freeman, 21, was charged with murder in the March 4, 2016, slaying of Davolya Lewis.Lewis, 20, was shot during an argument with Freeman outside the Smart Mart on East Ledbetter Drive.A witness told police she saw Freeman shoot Lewis, put the gun in his waistband and run away. She later identified him in a photo lineup.A week earlier, police say, Freeman robbed a man of $2,000 in cash outside the Kwik Mart on Camp Wisdom Road."Give me everything you have!" he shouted, before shooting the man in the leg and fleeing, according to court records.A week after the Smart Mart slaying, Lewis died from his injuries and Freeman was wanted on a murder charge, in addition to the aggravated robbery charge still pending in the Kwik Mart shooting.Freeman surrendered more than a month later in the 7700 block of Westmoreland Road, near the Inspiring Body of Christ Church.He'll be eligible for parole in 30 years.
