Joanna Gaines' Next Book Is for Kids and Co-written With Her Children

Lifestyle designer celebrity Joanna Gaines is extending her brand into the children's book aisle. The Texas mother of five said Monday that her next book, We Are Gardeners, chronicles her own family's garden. It goes on sale on March 26.Chip and Joanna Gaines have catapulted their Waco-based home improvement business Magnolia founded in 2003 into a retail brand with multiple home products, a television career launched on HGTV's Fixer Upped and a successful publishing business. Magnolia at the Silos has annual events and draws shoppers to its stores and Magnolia Table restaurant.The couple will be keynote speakers on Tuesday at the National Retail Federation's annual convention that draws 37,000 attendees. The onstage interview is with entertainment executive Scooter Braun at the Javits Convention Center in New York.
