Grand Prairie police say a man fatally shot a woman before turning the gun on himself Monday night. Officers discovered both in the stairwell of an apartment in the 1700 block of West Tarrant Road about 9 p.m. after receiving reports of a gunshots and a woman's scream. The woman was dead when police arrived at the Grand Manor Apartments, and the man was taken to a local trauma center in critical condition. Police said he was not expected to survive.
