Fort Worth Police Officer Injured After Driver Barrels Into Patrol Car

A Fort Worth officer was injured when a driver barreled into his patrol car early Wednesday morning off Interstate 35W, police said. The officer was outside when the driver crashed into his patrol car, which struck the officer about 5:20 a.m. in the 4400 block of South Freeway, near West Seminary Drive, Fort Worth police spokesman Brad Perez said. The extent of the officer's injuries is not currently known, however, the officer was conscious and speaking at the time he was transported to a local hospital.
