Fort Worth Man Spotted at Buc-ee's After Escaping From Galveston Jail

A Fort Worth man who escaped from a Galveston County jail Monday night is still at-large after being spotted at a Madisonville Buc-ee's. Dominic Potter, 38, managed to escape about 7 p.m. Monday while taking out trash from the jail kitchen, the Houston Chronicle reported. Early Tuesday morning, an officer spotted the pickup Potter allegedly stole at the Buc-ee's on Interstate 45, about 100 miles north of Houston, the Chronicle reported.When Potter saw the deputy in the store, he quickly left. Texas Department of Criminal Justice tracking dogs joined the search in the area behind Buc-ee's on Tuesday. But after more than 12 hours, Madison and Galveston county officials turned the search over to state police and the Gulf Coast Fugitive Task Force.  Continue reading...
