First Buc-ee's Location Outside Texas Target of Lawsuit for ‘predatory' Gas Prices

A new lawsuit alleges Texas-based convenience store chain Buc-ee's priced its gasoline at an unfairly cheap rate that harms competitors and the public at its new location in Alabama.Oasis Travel Center LLC sued Buc-ee's Friday claiming their gas prices violate the Alabama Motor Fuel Marketing Act. When Buc-ee's opened its new location it set the price of gas at $1.79 and that it hovered around that point, violating the AMFMA by selling for under $2, according to the complaint.Oasis Travel Center is seeking an injunction that would prevent Buc-ee's from maintaining the prices it claims violate the law.  Continue reading...
