Father Who Killed His 2 Children in Fort Worth Murder-suicide Was Recently Hired at CPS, Officials Say

A Fort Worth father who had recently been hired to work as a Child Protective Services investigator killed his two young children and sister-in-law before killing himself on Monday, authorities said.Officers found the four bodies around noon in the 2000 block of Speckle Drive, police said.The Tarrant County medical examiner's office identified the victims as Melinda Mercado, 45, 4-year-old Alyssa Parra, and Michael Parra, who was a month shy of his second birthday.
