Collin County Commissioner Chris Hill Launches Drive for County Judge's Seat

Collin County Commissioner Chris Hill has resigned to launch a bid for county judge, he announced Friday in an email that doubled as a request for campaign donations."When I first ran for county commissioner in 2012, I made a promise to you that I would serve the people of Collin County as a strong, principled conservative," Hill said in the email that accompanied a news release. "I'm proud to say that I have kept my word."The county judge's seat is open after its longtime holder, Keith Self, announced in May that he would not seek a fourth term. At the same time, Hill indicated he would explore a run to replace Self. The Republican primary is scheduled for March.Hill was first elected in 2012.
