Champagne Wishes, Truffle Dreams

Local restaurants pop off special deals

Tis' the season for truffles and Champagne. There are so many options when it comes to festive holiday dining that it's easy to feel overhwhelmed. Should you stay in baking pies with Granny ... throwing back Frescas until your belly aches? Or would you rather shell out hard-earned duckets for an over priced soiree at a bar offering anything but the extraordinary?

For those of you who want a good meal and a nice glass of Champagne, we've compiled the following short list of some of our favorites. And don't worry, Granny will understand.

Champagne Pairing Dinner at Toulouse
Parisian-born Chef Yoanne Lardeux  will bring the bubbly on Monday, December 21 with his decadent Champagne pairing dinner. Start with potato wrapped Oysters Rockefeller with spinach, lardoons and horseradish cream. Follow with a sweet pink Scottish salmon entrée served with braised leeks, parsnip mousseline and dill beurre blanc. Round out your fizzy enhanced meal with a divine petit raspberry soufflé (dark chocolate-dipped strawberry sable butter cookies paired with Charles Lafitte de Sables Rose Prestige, sparkling wine.) Cheers!
