Garth Brooks Announces Partnership With Plano-based Frito-Lay

Thursday, Plano-based Frito-Lay announced a new partnership with country music legend Garth Brooks.

Garth’s new single, “Baby, Let’s Lay Down and Dance,” is free to download after purchasing a specially-marked (with Garth’s image on the front) bag of Fritos.

Brooks made the announcement with Frito-Lays team members at AT&T Stadium.

During a press conference with the media, he said there are no immediate plans for a concert in Dallas.

Regarding his current tour, he said one of his final nights on stage in Dallas was “one of the most fun nights he’s ever had.”

Thursday, Plano-based Frito-Lay announced a new partnership with country music legend Garth Brooks.

He also credited his success to forming relationships, including this new relationship with Frito-Lay, which allows him to distribute his music at no cost to listeners.

Brooks is the first artist in history to receive seven Diamond awards for the now seven albums certified by the RIAA at over $10 million album sales each and remains the #1-selling solo artist in U.S. history certified by the RIAA with over 138 million album sales.

He has received every accolade the recording industry can bestow on an artist and has been inducted into the International Songwriters Hall of Fame in New York, the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame, Country Music Hall of Fame and most recently, the Musicians Hall of Fame.

Brooks is currently on the three year "Garth Brooks World Tour with Trisha Yearwood," which began with 11 sold out shows at the Allstate Arena in Chicago.

The tour is smashing records previously held by such acts as The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and even Garth Brooks himself.

In just over a year and a half, the tour is approaching five million tickets sold, making it the biggest tour in the world.
