Odor Out of Lineup Again

Odor's finger is still bothersome

Rougned Odor's bat was sorely missed on Wednesday, and even on Tuesday night after he left the game late with a finger injury.

On Thursday as the Rangers and Blue Jays conclude their three-game set, he'll be out of the lineup for a second straight day after his fingernail on his middle finger of the throwing hand was ripped off by a sharp grounder.

Alberto will start again for Odor on Thursday, and Odor's bat will be sorely missed as he's been arguably the Rangers' best hitter since he was called back up from a demotion on June 15.

β€œIt will just be a matter of pain tolerance,” manager Jeff Banister told reporters. β€œHe’s a tough kid.”

The hope is that he'll be back on Friday for the opener of another pivotal series for Wild Card positioning with Baltimore.
