Smith Eyeing Pro Bowl Trip

Cowboys left tackle Tyron Smith is entering his third NFL season

Entering his third season in the NFL and his second as the Dallas Cowboys’ starting left tackle, Tyron Smith has his sights set on a trip to Hawaii.

"It's always going to be the goal for me to get to that point," Smith said, per ESPN Dallas. "And to get even higher than that."

Smith has been the Cowboys’ best offensive lineman for about as long as he arrived as a first round pick (9th overall) out of USC back in 2011, but given the state of the Dallas offensive line as a whole in that span, it’s not exactly the most impressive title--and, to be sure, Smith has seen his share of struggles. He committed seven false starts last season, second-most in the league.

But for Smith, confidence comes with experience.

"The longer you're in it, there's always going to be high expectations," Smith said "You obviously have to have high expectations for yourself."
