Mike Jenkins To Undergo MRI Today

Jenkins injured his shoulder in the Cowboys' loss to the Giants

There wasn’t much good news after the Cowboys’ loss to the Giants on Sunday night, and this is no exception. Cornerback Mike Jenkins, who has been Dallas’ best cornerback for most of the year, is scheduled to undergo and MRI on his right shoulder today after injuring it in the loss to New York--this per ESPN Dallas.

Jenkins fell on the shoulder awkwardly in the second quarter--then he returned, and aggravated the injury in the fourth quarter.

Unfortunately, this is only the continuation of a season-long trend for Jenkins. He suffered a stinger way back in training camp that kept him out for all of the preseason; he first suffered a shoulder injury in week one against the Jets, and after that came a hamstring injury that kept him out for the four games preceding the matchup with the Giants--which brings us back to the shoulder issues.

We’ll bring you more when we have it.
