Jerry: Brian Waters About Ready to Start

Jerry Jones signed the veteran guard Waters a little over two weeks ago

Veteran right guard Brian Waters played 18 snaps over four series in his first action since 2011 last Sunday, as he platooned with Mackenzy Bernadeau against the Chiefs--and he must have impressed some folks in doing so. Jerry Jones, who signed Waters just over two weeks ago, believes the veteran is about ready to start.

“I think he’s starting to get in the area of physical shape that he wants to be in,” Jones told 105.3-FM The Fan on Thursday, via the Dallas Morning News. “He certainly has played just really good. And he can help us if he does.”

A Waxahachie native and University of North Texas product, 2013 is Waters’ 13th NFL season. He has been named to the Pro Bowl eight times, and is a two-time All-Pro.
