Mike Jenkins MRI came back negative, which is good news considering he was carted off the field during the morning practice with an ankle injury. Wade Phillips, said he's day-to-day, and that they'll hold him out of practice until he's better. Jenkins status is uncertain for Thursday's preseason opener against Oakland.
As for Terence Newman, Dave Campo told us he was held out of the morning workout to "get rest". Wade Phillips confirmed that T-New has a sore groin, but nothing serious. Phillips added that it's the same groin that kept Newman out last season, but it's a different injury.
