First Half Observations: Dallas Vs. Cincinnati

The Dallas Cowboys are leading the Cincinnati Bengals 6-0, at halftime in Canton.

*In good news, John Phillips was having a huge showing with Martellus Bennett sidelined with an ankle injury. He had 60 yards on four catches, and provided the block that sprung Tashard Choice on a 21-yard carry. But...

*Phillips was taken to the locker room with a knee injury in the second quarter. He will have the knee x-rayed to check for structural damage.

*Tony Romo (5-10, 59 yards) and the first team offense looked good early on but struggled once more in the red zone. The team’s opening drive saw Romo lead the Cowboys down the field efficiently, but they hit a wall at the Cincinnati goal line: a Felix Jones fumble was nullified by an offsides call, but the call was followed by three consecutive incomplete passes from Tony Romo.

*Return man Titus Ryan suffered a fractured thumb in the first half that will likely send him to the injured reserve. Alex Barron and Kevin Brock each suffered a sprained ankle.
