Mobile NYC Deli Rolls Into Big D

Start spreading the news

Another mobile dining concept has rolled into Dallas.

Gandolfo’s New York Deli Dallas is a New York-style deli and bagel shop on wheels.

Hard-core members of the deli crowd won’t find chopped liver, sliced beef tongue (slurp), matzo ball soup (mazel tov), cheese blintzes, latkes or stuffed cabbage on the menu.  But Nathan’s hot dogs, lots of bagels and a whole slew of tempting sandwiches are offered.

Go to their Facebook page and click on the “Food Items at Gandolfo’s Deli” to see such great items as: the knuckle sandwich (pastrami, three cheeses, mushrooms, olives and mayo) on sourdough bread or the Rockerfeller Reuben (picture a reuben sandwich on roids).

Georgia based Pool's Restaurant Group, parent company of Gandolfo's New York Delicatessen, began its food-franchising program in early 2010, according to an article in QSR Magazine Exclusive.

Gandolfo's new master franchisee in the Dallas area, Randy Wolken, is the company’s first franchisee to take the concept mobile, the article explained.

What better place than Dallas to roll out another food truck?
