A suspicious package found at Wylie City Hall Tuesday posed no threat, officials say.

A HAZMAT team was called to the scene and officials cordoned off an area of the parking lot while the package was investigated.

As a precaution, the building was evacuated while the investigation was under way.

The package was found at the entrance to the building, located at 300 Country Club, at about 9 a.m.  The building was reopened shortly before 11 a.m.
