Two Confirmed Rabid Skunks in Grapevine

Two cases of rabies have been confirmed in Grapevine, both cases in skunks.

There have been two confirmed cases of rabies discovered in Grapevine, both cases in skunks, according to the Grapevine Police Department.

One of the skunks was found in the area of Tamarack Court and the second in the area of Circle View Court. 

Grapevine PD warns that you cannot tell if an animal has rabies by just looking at it. Some animals may act hostile when they have rabies and some may act timid. If you see a skunk, or any wild animal, do not approach it.
 
The only way to determine if an animal has rabies is through lab tests.
