Timber Creek H.S. Student Arrested After Online Threats: FWPD

A Timber Creek High School student is facing charges after allegedly making threats to the school, police say.

The Fort Worth Police Department confirmed to NBC 5 that a student was arrested Thursday evening for a "terroristic threat."

A letter sent home to parents by Timber Creek High School principal Donnie Bartlett, and posted on Bartlett's Twitter page Thursday evening, says that the student used social media to post threatening images and statements against the campus.

School officials immediately notified police, and the student was taken into custody, the letter states.

Bartlett added that while the threat has been eliminated, there will be extra security officers patrolling the area in and around campus on Friday to ensure safety.
