Southlake, Texas, Police Chief Stephen Mylett has been named the new police chief in Bellevue, Wash.
City Manager Brad Miyake announced Monday that Mylett is expected to report to duty in early April, after the offer is finalized.
Mylett replaces replaces Linda Pillo, who retired nearly a year ago.
Bellevue, on Seattle's east side, is the fifth largest city in Washington, with a population of nearly 130,000. The police department has 178 officers and 42 civilian employees.
