A Fort Worth police officer was sent to the hospital after he accidentally fired his gun and shot himself in the thigh, officials say.[[477630093,R]]
The incident happened at the Bob Bolen Public Safety Complex on the 500 block of Felix Street, near the Interstate 20 and Interstate 35W junction.
The wounded officer was transported to JPS Hospital with injuries not considered life threatening, according to a MedStar spokesman.
The officer's name was not released.
