Lauren Scruggs was severely injured when she walked into a plane propeller after an aerial tour of Christmas lights.

Lauren Scruggs, the fashion blogger injured in an accident with a moving airplane propeller, made her first trip out of the hospital this week.

Scruggs and her mother traveled to Whole Foods and met with supporters in the grocery.

"She and I made our first adventure, the other day, to one of our favorite places, Whole Foods! We love you Whole Foods!!," mother Cheryl Scruggs wrote on Lauren's CaringBridge website. "We had many complete strangers stop us, with tears in their eyes, saying they have been praying for Lo and for our family."

Scruggs was injured on Dec. 3 by a still-spinning propeller which severed her left hand and injured her shoulder and head. Scruggs' left eye was removed due to her injuries.

Updates from the family say Scruggs is making a remarkable recovery, and is able to walk, talk, dress, and do other activities as she continues rehabilitation at Parkland Hospital.
